A Cold Walk on a Snowy Night

Had an itch to go out shooting last night, so cranked the ISO and went B&W, I'm quite happy with how they  turned out. Banff is such a beautiful place.

Gorgeous photographs. Is this the town you live in? Beautiful. What lens did you use? f stop?

I really wanna take similar pictures, but living in NYC there is a severe lack of such settings. I have a f/1.8 28mm on my T3i.

Hi Postulio,

I live in Banff, Alberta, Canada. It is a beautiful place. I'm an Olympus shooter and I used the 20mm 1.7 for most of this. Your 28mm 1.8 is a FANTASTIC lens and will give you an even wider perspective than what I've captured. NYC is an incredible place to be a photographer, just get out there and be brave, look up Bob Tullis on the DPreview forums, he does a lot of street photography in NYC and he was my inspiration for those b&w photos in that blog post.

Enjoy!
